I love Halloween and I love to cook, so why not combine the two!! John and I hosted a Halloween themed dinner party which I had a lot of fun finding creative ways to make themed food items. I tried to figure out a full menu with savory and sweet dishes because desserts are the easiest to add spooky decorations to.

-Candy Corn Fruit Cups
In addition to cooking I also love the tradition of dressing up for Halloween, John... not so much. But this year our costume idea was from John himself!! Easy enough- Slash and Axl from Guns N' Roses.
We had their concert t-shirts, a guitar, a headband, a flannel, and all the jewelry I own. What is with rockstars and jewelry? All we needed to get was a top hat for Slash, and we had one! But it was at a friends house. Luckily for us that same friend was coming to the party. Unlucky, that same friend forgot the hat, only remembering when seeing John and saying "It would have been better costume if you had a Top Hat...."
All in all it was a great night full of food, friends and fun!
